Background:

Sammy Zahran is an Assistant Professor of Demography in the Department of Economics at Colorado State University. Sammy is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology in the Colorado School of Public Health, and Co-Director of the Center for Disaster and Risk Analysis at Colorado State University. His published research appears in Risk Analysis, Environmental Science and Technology, Atmospheric Environment, Neurotoxicology, Disasters, Science of the Total Environment, Ecological Economics, Environmental Research, and the International Journal of Epidemiology, examining child and maternal health outcomes resulting from exposure to anthropogenic and natural environmental risks and hazards.
