Hedy Lee is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Washington in Seattle. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009, and was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health & Society Scholar at the University of Michigan from 2009 to 2011.
Hedy Lee’s research focuses on the demographic trends and the social causes and consequences of poor health and health disparities, with a particular focus on the transition to adulthood, race/ethnicity, obesity, and the family.
